Inspections for the want of a better word are still required when a potential buyers wants to visit your premises or meet with you to discuss your sale. These inspections are usually by appointment. Some things for you to consider as an owner, prior to allowing an inspection are:-
Do I need a confidentially agreement signed by the prospective buyer? (This is recommended for those businesses that have confidential information i.e. processes, sales, figures etc. within your industry that is needed to disclose to help the business sell. A confidentially agreement can be prepared by your solicitor and is a binding document as to any information provided to the potential buyer, stays in confidence.
